Niv Dayan designs and optimizes the data structures used in modern database systems. His research examines new ways to scale storage engines for 100x Big Data by revisiting a classic challenge in computer science: how to scale core dictionary data structures such that their performance deteriorates as slowly as possible with respect to massive increases in data size.
